As for Thailand, a report published by the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior, indicated that one fifth of the population or about 13 million people are now aged 60 or over. According to World Robotics 2023 report by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), Thailand has imported more than 3,600 robots for use in its industrial sector in 2023. This reflects the country's progress in robotic technology adoption, making Thailand rank 15th in the world and 1st in Southeast Asia in terms of the largest number of robot users. It is clear that Thailand is making use of robots and automation extensively in various industries such as automotive, food and beverage, electronics, metalworking, medical and cosmetics, plastics and polymers, and education and science to improve efficiency and productivity while reducing costs.
